WAEC - Government (2000 - No. 29)

Delegated Legislation has the advantage of
enlightening the public about law making procedure
saving parliamentary time
reducing the expenses of the legislature
preventing the executive from becoming too powerful

Giải thích

Delegated legislation refers to laws made by an executive authority under powers granted to it by an Act of Parliament. One of the advantages of delegated legislation is that it saves parliamentary time. This is because detailed rules and regulations, which might otherwise take a lot of time to debate and pass in the legislature, can be created by relevant authorities (like ministers or agencies) without the need for full parliamentary involvement.
