Chemical weathering involves the process of rock decomposition due to chemical reactions. The processes include carbonation, hydrolysis, and oxidation. Frost action, on the other hand, is a form of physical weathering where water seeps into cracks in rocks, freezes, and expands, causing the rock to break apart. Therefore, frost action is not a process of chemical weathering.
