Trees in Sudan savanna adapt to the climate of their environment by
having large lateral roots with waxy hairy and broad leaves
developed thick, succulent stems to store up water
shedding leaves in the dry seasons and having long tap roots with umbrella-shaped crowns
producing seeds which lie dormant during the dry season
developing broad, lateral root system for support
