Aristocracy refers to a form of government in which power is held by a small, privileged ruling class, typically consisting of individuals who are considered "gifted" or of noble birth. Aristocrats often possess superior social, economic or educational status and are believed to have the qualities necessary to govern effectively.

Theocracy is a form of government in which religious leaders control the government, claiming to be ruling on behalf of a deity. Plutocracy is a system of government where the wealthy class has significant power and influence over political decisions. Gerontocracy is a system where older individuals hold power, often based on age rather than merit or ability.
