JAMB - Chemistry (2024 - No. 116)

The law which states that a pure chemical compound, no matter how it is made, will be made up of the same elements contained in the same proportion by mass is
law of conservation of masses
law of definite proportion
law of multiple proportion
law of reciprocal proportion

Förklaring

The law of definite proportions, also known as the law of constant composition, states that a pure chemical compound will always contain the same elements in the same proportion by mass, regardless of how it is made.

This law is true for any sample of a compound, regardless of its amount or phase (solid, liquid, or gas).
