the establishment of many schools
effective trade relationship
the building of a mosque in Timbuktu

The introduction of Islam to West Africa, wasn't violence or forced, it was done in an orderly and peaceful manner, through making friends with them, entering into trading business with them. Through that, they were able to gain there trust and Islam was introduced and taught to them.
