WAEC - English Language (2010 - No. 74)
From the words lettered A to D, choose the word that best completes each of the following sentences:
Mrs. Kofi is angry..............her daughter's lack of interest in her business
at
with
for
by
Explanation
Mrs. Kofi is angry at her daughter's lack of interest in her business.
If directed at a person "angry with" should always be used. If directed at a situation I believe "angry at" would also be acceptable. e.g. I was very angry at how rainy it was. The key is who or what the anger is aimed at. in this regards, its aimed at ''lack of interest"
