A: Humility enhances forgiveness. If one is humble, one is forgiven one's sins and trespasses. God forgives the humble because they recognize their need for His mercy and grace. James 4:6 states, "But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: 'God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.'" God's forgiveness is extended to those who humble themselves before him, acknowledging their need for His forgiveness and mercy.
