According to Luke's gospel, when the Devil had ended the temptation of Jesus, the Devil departed
and Jesus was baptized in the Jordan
to work out a better strategy
feeling defeated and embarrased
and Angels came to minister to Jesus because he had accomplished His mission

Explanation

In the Gospel of Luke, after the Devil had tempted Jesus in the wilderness, we find the account in Luke 4:13 (NIV):

"When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time."

The statement implies that the Devil departed, it is commonly interpreted that the Devil left with a sense of defeat and embarrassment because Jesus successfully resisted all the temptations. The departure of the Devils means that Jesus overcame the temptations and remained faithful to God's will. The idea is that the Devil retreated temporarily, waiting for another opportunity to tempt Jesus.
