Hiram was the king of Tyre during the time of King Solomon.  In 1 Kings 5:1-12, it is mentioned that Hiram and Solomon entered into a friendly alliance. Hiram sent his servants to Solomon, and they, along with Solomon's workers, cut down cedar and cypress trees from the forests of Lebanon for the construction of the Temple in Jerusalem. Hiram's assistance was crucial for Solomon in obtaining high-quality timber for the temple's construction.
