Physics for IGCSE & O level - Forces And Motion (Section 7 - No. 9)
What does Newton's second law of motion state?
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by a force.
Force is equal to the mass of the object times its acceleration.
Objects fall at the same rate regardless of mass.
Explanation
Newton's second law states: F = ma.
