Two similar containers hold 1 litre and 2 litres of milk. If the surface area of the larger container is 1100 cm², calculate the surface area of the smaller one.

Explanation

Volume scale factor = 2, thus, length scale factor is the cube root of 2. Area is proportional to the square of the length. Hence area of smaller container = 1100 / (2^(2/3)) = 693 cm²
