JEE MAIN - Physics (2024 - 8th April Evening Shift - No. 3)
The position of the image formed by the combination of lenses is :
$$15 \mathrm{~cm}$$ (right of second lens)
$$30 \mathrm{~cm}$$ (right of third lens)
$$30 \mathrm{~cm}$$ (left of third lens)
$$15 \mathrm{~cm}$$ (left of second lens)
Explanation
$$\begin{aligned} & \frac{1}{v}-\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{f} \\ & \frac{1}{v}-\frac{1}{-30}=\frac{1}{10} \\ & \frac{1}{v}=\frac{1}{10}-\frac{1}{30}=\frac{3-1}{30}=\frac{1}{15} \\ & v=15 \end{aligned}$$
$$\Rightarrow 30 \mathrm{~cm} \text { right of third }$$
