JEE MAIN - Physics (2023 - 24th January Morning Shift - No. 18)

In $$\overrightarrow E $$ and $$\overrightarrow K $$ represent electric field and propagation vectors of the EM waves in vacuum, then magnetic field vector is given by :

($$\omega$$ - angular frequency) :

$${1 \over \omega }\left( {\overline K \times \overline E } \right)$$
$$\overline K \times \overline E $$
$$\omega \left( {\overline K \times \overline E } \right)$$
$$\omega \left( {\overline E \times \overline K } \right)$$

Explanation

Magnetic field vector will be in the direction of $\hat{\mathrm{K}} \times \hat{\mathrm{E}}$

magnitude of $B=\frac{E}{C}=\frac{K}{\omega} E$

Or $\overrightarrow{\mathrm{B}}=\frac{1}{\omega}(\overrightarrow{\mathrm{K}} \times \overrightarrow{\mathrm{E}})$
