$${\overrightarrow L _0} = {\overrightarrow L _{of\,cm}} + {\overrightarrow L _{about\,cm}}$$
$$ \Rightarrow {a \over 3}{R^2}\omega = mvR + {2 \over 3}m{R^2}\omega = {5 \over 3}m{R^2}\omega $$
$$ \Rightarrow a = 5$$
