$$\overrightarrow v = v\cos 45\widehat i - v\sin 45\widehat j$$ ..... (3)

$$|\Delta \overrightarrow P | = |m(\overrightarrow v - \overrightarrow u )|$$ .... (4)

$$\Delta P = 2mu\sin 45^\circ $$
