$$ \therefore $$ xcm = $${{{m_1}{x_1} + {m_2}{x_2}} \over {{m_1} + {m_2}}}$$
= $${{2\sigma \times 0.5 + 2\sigma \times 1} \over {2\sigma + 2\sigma }}$$ = 0.75
and ycm = $${{{m_1}{y_1} + {m_2}{y_2}} \over {{m_1} + {m_2}}}$$
= $${{2\sigma \times 1 + 2\sigma \times 2.5} \over {2\sigma + 2\sigma }}$$ = 1.75
