C only
B only
B and C only
A and B only
Explanation
The reactions of given compound with sodium bicarbonate
solution are as follows
$$ \text { As } \mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{CO}_3 \text { is weak acid it dissociate to liberate } \mathrm{CO}_2 \text { gas and } \mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O} \text {. } $$
Equilibrium favours forward direction and $\mathrm{CO}_2$ is liberated. In the above two reactions, $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{CO}_3$ is comparatively weak acid.
$\therefore \mathrm{CO}_2$ gas is liberated.
Equilibrium favours backward direction and $\mathrm{CO}_2$ is not liberated.
Thus, only $B$ and $C$ will liberate carbon dioxide with sodium bicarbonate solution.
