To convert a galvanometer to a voltmeter, a
high resistance is connected to it in series
high resistance is connected to it in parallel
low resistance is connected to it in parallel
low resistance is connected to it in series

Explanation

To convert a galvanometer (which measures current) into a voltmeter (which measures voltage), a high resistance is connected in series with the galvanometer. This limits the current flowing through the galvanometer, allowing it to measure higher voltages without exceeding its maximum current rating.
