The resultant of two forces 12N and 5N is 13N. What is the angle between the two forces?

R\(^2\) = P\(^2\) + Q\(^2\) = 12\(^2\) + 5\(^2\)
= 144 + 25 = 169
∴R = \(\sqrt{169}\) = 13N
∴ the angle between the forces is 90º
