If x is inversely proportional to y and x = 9 when y = 4, find the law containing x and y
x = \(\frac{16}{y}\)
x = \(\frac{36}{y}\)
x = \(\frac{y}{36}\)
x = \(\frac{13}{y}\)

Explanation

x = \(\frac{K}{y}\)

9 =  \(\frac{K}{4}\)

K = 9 x 4 = 36

Therefore, the law connecting x and y is: x =  \(\frac{36}{y}\)
