Find the coordinates of the mid-point of x and y intercepts of the line 2y = 4x - 8

(2, 0)

(1, -2)

(-1, -2)

(1, 2)

2y = 4x - 8 \(\implies\) y = 2x - 4.

When x = 0, y = -4.

When y = 0, x = 2.

The midpoint between (0, -4) and (2, 0) = \((\frac{0 + 2}{2}, \frac{-4 + 0}{2})\)

= \((1, -2)\)
