\(\frac{1}{1 + \sqrt{5}}\) - \(\frac{1}{1 - \sqrt{5}}\)

= \(\frac{1 - \sqrt{5} - 1 - \sqrt{5}}{(1 + \sqrt{5}) (1 - \sqrt{5}}\)

= \(\frac{-2\sqrt{5}}{1 - 5}\)

= \(\frac{-2\sqrt{5}}{- 4}\)

=  \(\frac{1}{2}\sqrt{5}\)
