'But, howsoever thou pursuest this act,
Taint not thy mind, nor let thy soul contrive Against thy mother....'

The ghost exhorts young Hamlet not to kill his mother because
his wife is bewitched into falling for Claudius' seduction
the ghost wishes her to be left to the torment of her conscience
the ghost still loves his wife even in death
the young Hamlet will be guilty of matricide
