In the play The Gods Are Not To Blame, Odewale became King of Kutuje by
usurpation in a typical Ijekun manner
deserting the poeple of Ikolu whose army he led
divulging the war secrets of Ikolu to Kutuje
leading Kutuje in a war against Ikolu.
