The significant message contained in sūrah at-Takāthur is that
passion for wealth and position may divert man's attention from worship of Allah
moral obligation and spiritual sacrifice should be uppermost in the minds of a true believer
man should avoid committing sin at all times
man should pray five times daily
Explanation
As nearly most of the other Makkan surahs, surah At-Takathur reminds us of the hereafter, resurrection, and accountability before Allah the Almighty.
Surah At-Takathur warns of the dangers of heedlessness of the Hereafter which results from one's deep immersion in worldly gains and the rivalry for such gains until one dies.
