Edo State is not a state in Igboland. Igboland refers to the region in southeastern Nigeria where the Igbo peopl are predominantly found. Edo State, on the other hand, is located in the South-South region of Nigeria and is predominantly inhabited by the Edo people, who have a distinct culture and language different from the Igb people. While Edo State shares borders with some Igbo states, it is not considered part of Igboland.
