JAMB - Government (2025 - No. 73)

A sovereign state is one
which sovereignty is vested in the military
whose government decisions are made independent
where its citizens can speak without fear or favour
whose constitution could only be changed by the military government

Explanation

A sovereign state has complete self-determination over its internal and external affairs, meaning it does not look beyond its own borders for the source of its legal authority. For a state to be truly sovereign, its government must function without foreign interference or control.
