Rhodesia was the former name of Zimbabwe.
It could be recalled that Nigerian Government supported the expulsion of South Africa from Commonwealth in 1961. The same Nigerian government championed international boycotts against Ian Smith of Rhodesia (now known as Zimbabwe) in 1965.
