The Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO) was the electoral body responsible for conducting elections in Nigeria from 1979 to 1983. FEDECO was established to oversee the electoral processes during the Second Republic, and it conducted the general elections that brought in civilian government in 1979, as well as the subsequent elections up until the military takeover in 1983.
