Recall is the act of removing an elected official from office before their term has ended, usually through a direct vote by the electorate. It allows citizens to hold their elected representatives accountable for their actions while in office. An impeachment, on the other hand, is the process by which the legislature removes an elected official from office if found guilty of gross misconduct.
