Explanation

Mr Audu, the school's fine art teacher, and "clown" of the novel, in is usual fashion, cracked a joke to lighten the tense atmosphere brought on by the sad realisation that Mr Fafore had been wrongly sacked. He says "I just want to say that Mr Fafore,... as well as the principal ... is correct. And the MD, Mrs Ibidun Gloss, is hereby pardoned, discharged and acquitted." (The Lekki Headmaster: pg. 33).
