"You pity the plant, for which you did not labour, nor did you make it grow which came into being in a night, and perished in a night".
The statment above was directed to
Jeremiah
Micah
Jonah
Hezekiah
Explanation
This is found in Jonah 4:10. After Jonah became angry that God spared the city of Nineveh, God used a fast-growing plant that withered overnight to teach him a lesson about compassion. God's point was that if Jonah could feel pity for a plant he didn't even grow, God should certainly have compassion for a great city filled with people.
