Josiah's reward for being penitent and remorseful when Judah sinned against the LORD by worshipping other gods was
he was not going to witness the desolation
he was going to rebuild the Temple
Judah shall no longer be destroyed
his family will be saved from the forthcoming pestilence
Explanation
In 2 Kings 22:18–20 and 2 Chronicles 34:26–28, the prophetess Huldah delivers a message from God to King Josiah. Because his heart was "tender and penitent," God promised that the disaster coming upon Jerusalem would not happen during his lifetime; instead, he would be "gathered to [his] grave in peace" and his eyes would not see the evil brought upon the place.
