The Book of the Covenant is sometimes called the Law of Moses, but the Book of the Covenant and the Law of Hammurabi used in the Babylonian Empire, seem closely related in the contextual and legal language, so it's easy to see how the Covenantal Laws of Israel and other nations might have influenced one another.
