Jesus began to teach His disciples about His suffering, rejection, crucifixion and resurrection immediately after Peter's confession at Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 16:13-23, Mark 8:27-33, Luke 9:18-22). Peter declared that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and in response, Jesus started revealing His mission to suffer, die, and rise again.
