Explanation
James speaks against partiality and favouritism in James 2:6 (RSV):
"But you have dishonoured the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you, is it not they who drag you into court?"
James rebukes those who show favouritism to the rich while dishonouring the poor, which contradicts Christian values of love and fairness.
