When Moses struck the rock twice for water instead of speaking to it, God said to him that he would
no longer see Him face to face
not bring the Israelities to the promise land
not see His holiness
roam in the wilderness for thirty years
Explanation
In Numbers 20:12 (RSV), God tells Moses that because he did not trust Him enough to honour Him as holy in the sight of the Israelites by speaking to the rock as commanded (instead, he struck it twice), Moses would not be allowed to bring the Israelites into the promised land. This was the consequence of his disobedience.
