The Parable of the Labourers in the Vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16) illustrates God's generosity. In the story, a landowner hires workers at different times of the day but pays them all the same wage, regardless of how long they worked. The workers who laboured the whole day expected more than those who worked for just an hour, but the landowner reminded them that he paid them what was agreed upon. This represents God's grace, which is freely given to all, regardless of when they come to faith.
