On the first day when the Israelites left part of the bread, it bred worms and became foul, but on the sixth day when they left part of the bread it did not become foul because
they roasted it immediately
God commanded them to keep it
Moses wanted to save them the trouble of searching for bread everyday
by then they had discovered a better way of presrving it
