The Gerasene demoniac
The leper from Galilee
Jairus
The blind man of Jericho
The demoniac of Capernaum
Explanation
This passage refers to the Gerasene demoniac (also known as the Gadarene demoniac), whose story is found in Mark 5:20 (RSV):
-
"And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him; and all men marveled."
The man, who had been healed of demon possession by Jesus, went out and spread the news about what Jesus had done for him. As a result, people from all over the region came to see Jesus, and He could no longer enter the town openly. This passage fits the description of the Gerasene demoniac's actions after his healing.
