The difference in molecular mass between an alkene and alkyne with six carbon per mole is
10
12
2
14

Explanation

Alkene family has the general formular C\(_n\)H\(_{2n}\), thus Alkene with 6 Carbon atoms is C\(_6\)H\(_{12}\), while the alkyne family has the general formula C\(_n\)H\(_{2n-2}\), thus alkyne with 6 carbon atoms is C\(_6\)H\(_{10}\).

The difference between them is the H\(_2\).

If H = 1, then H\(_2\) = 1 x 2 = 2.
