In a typical freshwater habitat, the edge of the stream or pond constitutes the
tidal zone
intertidal zone
littoral zone
euphotic zone

Explanation

It is the littoral zone. It is the shallow part of the freshwater habitat that is close to the shore. this zone is also known to have the highest level of primary production because sunlight can easily penetrate this zone. hence photosynthetic activities are common.
