Explanation

The Dentin and Cementum of a human tooth are similar to bone. Dentin forms the main body of the tooth, extending from the crown to the root, and is a living, calcified tissue like bone. Cementum is a bone-like substance that covers the root of the tooth and anchors it to the jawbone.
