The Economic Community of West African States has made impressive progress in the area of increased trade among members. ECOWAS has implemented various policies and agreements aimed at boosting intra-regional trade. These include the creation of a free trade area and the adoption of a common external tariff to facilitate the movement of goods and services within the region. These efforts have contributed to increased trade among member states.
