The Angola -Nigeria defence pact was abrogated shorty after independence because
of opposition from university students in Nigeria
the British government was dissatisfied with the arrangement
the Prime Minister of Nigeria was dissatisfied with the arrangement
the Soviet Union advised Nigeria to abrogate the pact
Nigeria wanted to make a similar defence pact with USA
