All the following except one were the motivating reasons behind the Great Trek

restoration of economic, cultural and political unity independent of the British power
threat of liberalism by the new colonial regime

The fear that the emigration might lead to a decline of civilization is the correct answer, as this was expressed by the Dutch Reformed Church in opposition to the Great Trek, seeing also as being an act of godlessness.
