JAMB - Government (2020 - No. 7)

In a confederal system, member states retain most of the power and delegate limited authority to the central governing body. ECOWAS is a regional organization where member countries cooperate on economic and political issues but maintain their sovereignty and control over most of their affairs. 

Switzerland and the USA are examples of federal states, where the central government has significant authority and shares power with regional governments. Nigeria is also a federal state with a similar structure to the USA and Switzerland.
