control inflation

redistribute income
raise standard of living

While options B (reduce poverty) and C (redistribute income) are important goals, the overarching aim of economic growth is to increase the overall standard of living for the population by providing more resources, jobs, and opportunities and this is the most direct goal of economic growth.
