'Use to' and 'Used to' are commonly used as modal verbs to establish a sentence mood. They are both used to explain that an action no longer happens. While 'use to' indicate the present tense, 'used to' indicates the past tense. However, while use to is used where 'did' occurs, as in, I did not use to eat vegetables. 'used to' is used in other sentence construction and can also function as an adjective.
